I was scrolling through some old photos this morning and stumbled across this one I took two years ago in Utila, Honduras. I was sitting on the beach at Neptune’s and was struck by how postcard-perfect the view was. It’s been two long years since I’ve seen the ocean, and methinks it’s time to go back!

If you’re interested in travelling to Utila you can check out the Island’s official web site. Most people tend to visit Roatan as it’s a bit larger and more tourist friendly, but Utila is definitely worth visiting – especially if you’re a backpacker and/or you’re into diving. (Here’s a good comparison of Roatan and Utila.) I’m fortunate that I have friends who live there, so I got to experience the very best Utila has to offer. I highly recommend stopping by for a few days. It’s a great place to relax and recharge your batteries!
